This cool part is made from 3 mm thick black galvanized steel and keeps your tailgate securely open, even when it's loaded up with plenty of luggage and bikes. No more tedious and dangerous holding of the heavy tailgate – this little helper makes it possible!
It fits many Volkswagen models, including VW T5, T6, T6.1 California, Comfortline, Ocean, Coast, Beach, Bulli, Caddy V, ID.Buzz. But heads up, folks: Not every model has the same gas struts. So before buying, you should measure the length of the thin strut tube (should be at least 214 mm) and the diameter of the thick strut tube (should be max. 24 mm). This way you can make sure our tailgate stay fits your van perfectly.
And here's a tip: Our tailgate stay is not compatible with the VW Transporter and Multivan models. There's a separate version for those!
Remember to unlock the part first before closing or moving the tailgate.
