Made from 3 mm thick aluminum, it keeps your tailgate safely open, even when loaded with plenty of luggage and bikes. No more tedious and dangerous holding up of the heavy tailgate.
The tailgate stay automatically clicks into place as soon as the gate is pushed up. This leaves both hands free and lets you keep the gate safely open without any risk of accidents. To close the tailgate, simply lift the stay briefly. This allows the gas strut cylinder to retract smoothly.
It's compatible with the VW T5, T6, T7 Transporter or Multivan. But heads up: not every model has the same gas struts. So before buying, you should measure the length of the thin strut tube (should be at least 295 mm) and the diameter of the thick strut tube (should be a maximum of 31 mm).
Our tailgate stay is not compatible with the VW California models (Ocean, Coast, Comfortline, Beach). There's a separate version available for those!
