Made from 3 mm thick aluminum, it keeps your tailgate safely open, even when loaded with plenty of luggage and bikes. No more struggling with and risking a heavy tailgate.
The tailgate prop locks automatically once the door is pushed up. This leaves both hands free so you can safely and accident-free keep the tailgate open. To close the tailgate, simply lift the prop briefly. This allows the gas strut cylinder to retract smoothly.
It's compatible with the VW T5, T6, T7 Transporter or Multivan. But heads up: Not every model has the same gas struts. So before purchasing, measure the length of the thin strut rod (should be at least 295 mm) and the diameter of the thick strut rod (should be max. 31 mm).
Our tailgate prop is not compatible with VW California models (Ocean, Coast, Comfortline, Beach). A separate version is available for these!
