Made from 3 mm thick aluminum, it keeps your rear hatch safely open, even when loaded with lots of luggage and bikes. No more tiring and dangerous holding of the heavy rear hatch.
The rear hatch holder clicks into place automatically once the hatch is pushed up. This leaves both hands free and lets you keep the hatch safely and accident-free. To close the rear hatch, simply lift the holder briefly. This way, the gas strut cylinder can easily retract again.
It is compatible with the VW T5, T6, T7 Transporter or Multivan. But attention: Not every model has the same gas struts. Therefore, you should measure the length of the thin damper tube (should be at least 295 mm) and the diameter of the thick damper tube (should be maximum 31 mm) before purchasing.
Our rear hatch holder is not compatible with VW California models (Ocean, Coast, Comfortline, Beach). There is a separate version for these!
