Made from 3mm thick aluminum, it keeps your tailgate safely open , even when it is loaded with a lot of luggage and bikes. No more tedious and dangerous holding of the heavy tailgate.
The tailgate prop engages automatically as soon as the tailgate is pushed up. This leaves both hands free and allows you to leave the tailgate open safely and without accidents. To close the tailgate, the prop only needs to be lifted briefly. This allows the gas pressure spring cylinder to retract again without any problem.
It is compatible with the VW T5, T6, T7 Transporter or Multivan . But be careful: not every model has the same gas pressure springs. Therefore, before buying, you should measure the length of the thin damper tube (should be at least 295 mm) and the diameter of the thick damper tube (should be a maximum of 31 mm).
Our tailgate opener is not compatible with the VW California models (Ocean, Coast, Comfortline, Beach) . There is a separate version for these!
