Load securing for the next adventure with Molle boards
For all vanlife enthusiasts with a VW Transporter or California, our Molle boards offer a brilliant way to store gear safely and flexibly on the vehicle. Whether surfboard, wheel chocks, spade, shovel, axe, or fire extinguisher – everything stays firmly in place.
Side overhang: Stay StVO-compliant this way
The Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) allow loads up to 40 cm beyond the vehicle lights. Perfect for the Volkswagen T6.1 California with a width of 1904 mm without mirrors. A Molle board can be mounted on both sides, leaving room for thick wheel chocks – all within the 2.55 m total width. For uncertain visibility conditions, we recommend our cool-looking rubber holders or tie-down straps to secure the load firmly.
Rear overhang: More space on the bike rack
The load may overhang 1.5 m to the rear; for shorter distances under 100 km even 3 m. With a Molle board on the bike rack, you can transport quite a bit, e.g. spare tires, fuel cans, skis, and snowboards. For overhangs from 1 meter, a red flag or light is mandatory so your equipment is clearly visible to everyone.
Installation note and special accessories
Avoid sharp edges to prevent damage and injuries. With our rubber equipment holders and tie-down straps, your setup stays stable and secure even on rough terrain. Oh, and for the surfers, snowboarders, or kiters among you: We have the right board holder for every adventure!
