The flat roof rack California Slim has been specifically designed for the VW California with C-rail roof. The aluminum and steel construction system offers a maximum distributed load capacity of 40 kilograms while weighing only 9 kilograms. Installation is carried out using four M8 T-bolts, washers and lock nuts, ensuring a maximum tightening torque of 23 Newton meters is not exceeded. Before installation, the mounting surface should be thoroughly cleaned and the edge protector positioned on the bent-up flanges. The panel, measuring approximately 1250 × 130 millimeters, is carefully aligned on the roof and the T-bolts are inserted into the C-rails on both sides. Even load distribution is essential to prevent deformation. Basic craftsmanship skills as well as a 13-millimeter wrench and ideally a ladder are required. The total roof load including luggage must not exceed the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
